Learning Reimagined: Tech Meets Education
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become an essential part of everyday life, encompassing hardware, personal digital devices, software, and systems that manage, store, process, create, produce, and communicate information. At Al Amanah College, ICT capabilities are integrated into teaching, learning, and assessment to equip K-12 students with the necessary knowledge and skills to use ICT effectively navigate and contribute to the digital world.
Key Areas of Focus:
Digital Technologies in Curriculum
: The explicit teaching of digital technologies is included in the Science and Technology K–6 Syllabus and Technology Mandatory Years 7–8 Syllabuses. This aims to develop students into confident developers of digital solutions.
Interactive Learning Experiences
: Students are provided with various technology-enhanced learning experiences, such as:
Teaching digital literacy and citizenship
Promoting critical and creative thinking skills
Supporting effective student research and evaluation skills
Using a range of learning platforms and digital tools
Integrating digital and design technologies, including robotics for coding
Enhancing STEM education with resources for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
