is Joint Planning
(a strategy
for engaging caregivers)
, which includes an introduction to the session and setting goals. This session will include examples of setting the stage for a coaching session and strategies for setting goals for the caregiver and the child.

Reflection and Feedback are two additional and important components of a coaching session when working with families. This session will include strategies for engaging caregivers in Reflection, an activity that increases caregiver confidence and learning. Suggestions for providing effective feedback will be reviewed. Video recordings will illustrate techniques for encouraging Reflection and providing Feedback.
