Bungay Museum
Established in 1963, Bungay Museum is a small, independent museum dedicated to the history, archaeology and natural environment of the town of Bungay, and surrounding villages in the Waveney Valley.
There is an extensive geology collection, archaeological material dating from the Palaeolithic to Post Medieval periods, and a display of finds from Bungay Castle. Other displays explore the town’s folklore, agricultural and social history, shops and businesses and experiences of the two World Wars.
Please note that at present, the museum is not accessible to wheelchair users, and there is a staircase that leads to the museum rooms. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes, and we plan to change this in the near future.
For additional information about admission, opening hours, access, facilities and learning opportunities, please visit the museum’s website.
