Group Tours
Groups Tours (5 or more): $3/Person
Our museum boasts more than 6,000 pieces of vintage Red Wing Pottery spread over 13,000 square feet. For larger groups we offer guided tours led by one of our knowledgeable volunteers. Groups of 5 or more should call at least 24 hours in advance if they wish to have a guided tour through the museum.
Additional Information
Guided tours will have a more in-depth look at the clay industry of Red Wing with a more personal touch on the unique pieces on display. Groups will receive a greeting from either Nancy, our Museum Manager, or a docent and will have the opportunity to ask questions and have the full attention of one of our volunteer guides for the duration of the tour.
Although tours generally range between 45 minutes to one hour, groups with tighter schedules can get a condensed tour to fit their schedules. We have a gift shop full of vintage Red Wing pottery for sale on site, located at the conclusion of the tour. Proceeds from the gift store go to support the museum's operating costs and care of the collection.
Tour Rates:
Due to the need to have dedicated volunteers and necessary staff to prepare for your visit we ask for a tour fee of $3 a person in the tour group to be paid prior to the tour beginning. This can be done over the phone via credit card, or arrival at the museum.
Admission is free for people/groups not requesting guided tours.
