Collaborative University Business Experiences
Funded by Bridgewater State University's 2019-2020 Innovation Grant, the Collaborative University Business Experiences (CUBEs) initiative brings together a team of faculty to explore ways to reinforce career readiness through curriculum. This initiative stimulated the college-wide dialogue about how to collaborate with local businesses and organizations to conduct semester-long/short CUBEs projects.
CUBEs projects will help students better prepare for their future careers.
Like other high impact practices at BSU, it encourages deep learning and problem solving skill development for students.
Through clearly mapping students’ learning outcomes with career skills expected from the real world, students gain a competitive advantage on the job market and more professional confidence.
Multiple upper-level undergraduate courses are designed and delivered in an innovative way and include career and professional development orientation.
Although CUBEs collaboration focuses on capstone/research projects embedded in BSU's course design, we also welcome other opportunities to collaborate with employers, such as guest speakers, facility tours, networking events, job shadowing and internships.
