Outreach
An increasingly important factor among our activities, is
Outreach
….. As the name suggests, we are happy to take some of our wonderful collection further afield – or welcome group visits to the Museum at suitable pre-arranged times.
Outreach includes school/group visits and external displays, as well as appearances in Science Festivals from East Lothian to Orkney!
We are especially keen to bring our message to schools, with the specific aim of encouraging school-age children to think about science and engineering and, for older children, to consider a career in these fields. Our philosophy coincides with that of the
British Science Association
, with whom we have strong links.
