Billing and Insurance Questions

for help with any of the following:
Questions about your bill
Obtaining an itemized listing of charges

What other bills may I receive?
Patients may also receive a bill from outside entities that provide services – such as radiology, anesthesiology, orthopedics, neurology, etc. – at our facilities. Patients may receive these bills by mail, email or text message. If you have questions regarding these invoices, please contact the provider listed on your statement directly.
What is the difference between a Hospital Based Clinic and a stand-alone doctor’s office?
As part of our many care offerings at Methodist, hospital-based clinics are additional locations where we can assist patients in their health care journey.
Hospital-based clinics at Methodist include locations such as
Methodist Community Health Clinic
, the Methodist Jennie Edmundson Wound Clinic,
Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center
, Methodist Jennie Edmundson Radiation Oncology, Methodist Jennie Edmundson Multispecialty Clinic and the Breast Center at
192nd & Dodge
.
While owned and operated by Methodist, insurance plans/companies often view the services provided at these locations differently than a doctor’s office or freestanding clinic. You may be required to meet your annual deductible or pay a percentage of your charges rather than an office co-pay.
If you become a patient at one of these locations we urge you to contact your insurance company to determine their coverage of such services and have a better understanding of what your financial responsibility may be. Your insurance may or may not cover facility fees or may cover them under the hospital benefits portion of your plan.
We know health care costs can be overwhelming and complicated. We want to help you navigate this process. Our team can assist by calling
(402) 354-4230
