If you are an IRTA/CRTA or Visiting Fellow, your stipend may continue for up to 12 weeks of absence for the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child. In addition, ICs must excuse absences to accommodate a trainee’s military obligations, i.e., active duty, active duty training, and inactive duty training Not to Exceed (NTE) six weeks per year. Additional absence without stipend can be requested.
