Jenna, MFA
Student Success Coordinator
Hi! My name is Jenna, and I have worked in higher education since 2019. Prior to joining the Success Team, I served as an Enrollment Services Advisor, English Adjunct Professor, and Writing Tutor. I started my studies at OCC, and I have my Master’s of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Monmouth University. I’m also currently enrolled in their Educational Leadership doctoral program. When I’m not working, I enjoy reading, relaxing at the beach, and attending concerts! I love coaching because, as a first-generation student, my greatest passion is to help college feel accessible and achievable for everyone. I look forward to working with you!
Sarah, BA
Student Success Coach
Hi! My name is Sarah. I’ve been at OCC since 2024, starting as an Enrollment Services Technician. I have my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Rutgers University, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Social Work there. I look forward to utilizing the skills I’m learning to better assist students through their academic journey. I understand that there are a variety of barriers and challenges that might be affecting a student’s experiences at OCC, and I want to be able to help students through that. Outside of work I love to write songs, perform with my band, go to concerts, and read. I’m so excited to work with you!
Megan, BS
Student Success Coach
Hi there! My name is Megan. I began my Student Success journey in 2019 as a Peer Mentor at Elizabethtown College. Before joining the OCC Success Team, I worked with transfer students at Monmouth University going through the transfer process. Success looks differently for everyone, and I believe it’s more than your performance in the classroom! I love helping students realize their potential and advocating for their wellbeing. Outside of work, I enjoy going for walks, stretching, and coloring. I look forward to helping you on your journey!
Kennedy, BA
Student Success Coach
Hi! My name is Kennedy, and I am so excited to work with you! Before joining the Success Team at OCC, I worked in both education and human services settings, supporting individuals overcome barriers and reach their goals. I have my Bachelor’s in Psychology from The College of New Jersey, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling there. Outside of work, I love to spend time outside in the sun and playing sports like volleyball and pickleball! I am passionate about helping students feel supported, confident, and capable throughout their academic journey. I believe success looks different for everyone, and I’m excited to work alongside you to help you achieve your goals!
Emily, MFA
Student Success Coach
Hi! My name is Emily, and I am here to help. I hold a B.A. in English and Classical Humanities from Rutgers University, as well as an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Southern Maine. I have extensive training in behavior management, primarily for those diagnosed with ASD and ADHD. Outside of OCC, I teach English at Brookdale Community College. I also serve as a youth mentor for the YMCA of the Jersey Shore. My background is in musical theater, and my first job was as a singer! Inclusion and patience are at the forefront of my coaching; no matter who you are, I want you to feel supported. I am a safe space for any student, especially neurodivergent students and LGBTQ+ students. Let’s talk about success!
