Accredited Institutions of Postsecondary Education, the official guide to institutions of higher
learning accredited by agencies that are recognized by the Council on Higher Education

Global University holds applicant status with the Association for Biblical Higher Education Commission on Accreditation (5850 T. G. Lee Blvd., Ste. 130, Orlando, FL 32822, 407-207-0808). Applicant status is a pre-membership status granted to those institutions that meet the ABHE Conditions of Eligibility and that possess such qualities as may provide a basis for achieving candidate status within five years.
Reciprocity Agreements
Global University has been approved by the State of Missouri to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements. NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education.

As a participant in NC-SARA, Global University is authorized to offer distance learning in 49 member states. The State of California has not joined SARA; however the website for the California Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education states that an out-of-state degree-granting institution that is “formed as a nonprofit corporation and accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education” does not need to register with the Bureau. Global University meets that definition and is therefore permitted to offer distance learning in the state of California.
