The College of Business offers the student the opportunity to pursue careers in business, accounting, finance, entrepreneurship, marketing, and more. Worldwide opportunities exist for the student as a manager or owner of a small business.
LSUA's mission is to create economic value in the region that will improve quality of life in the area. To do so, the LSUA College of Business will create value by offering a quality undergraduate business education at a competitive cost in order to prepare Louisiana's future leaders and professionals to compete for global opportunities. To successfully complete this mission, the LSUA College of Business will pursue a student-centric approach focused on real-world learning, critical thinking, and professional development of students.

Accreditation
The B.S. in Business Administration, the B.S. in Accounting, and the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate are accredited by the Accreditation Council of Business School Programs (ACBSP). The following concentrations are candidates for ACBSP accreditation: Accounting Information Systems and Data Analytics in the B.S. in Accounting; Fraud and Forensic Accounting in the B.S. in Accounting; and Agribusiness in the B.S. in Business Administration. The Bachelor of General Studies in Organizational Studies and the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science are not accredited by ACBSP
Meet the Dean
Rafael Romero Moreno, LL.M., M.A.
Dean, LSUA College of Business
Rafael Romero brings more than a decade of leadership and instructional experience to the role. A Fulbright Scholar with an interdisciplinary background in law, international relations, and business strategy, Dean Romero has helped shape the College of Business into a hub for innovation, entrepreneurship, and global awareness.
During his 11-year tenure at LSUA, Romero has served in multiple roles, including instructor and academic advisor. He has held several endowed professorships and was recognized with the 2025 CTE Teaching Innovation Award for his work on student-led initiatives. His areas of expertise include international trade, marketing strategy, entrepreneurship, and the evolving role of artificial intelligence in business education.
