DSO National Laboratories (DSO) is Singapore’s largest defence research and development (R&D) organisation, with the critical mission to develop technological solutions to sharpen the cutting edge of Singapore’s national security.
Established in 1972, DSO has evolved from a three-member team to more than 1,700 research scientists and engineers working across the domains of land, sea, air, space and cyberspace.
To be a wellspring of technological knowledge, a fountain of innovation and an inspiration to the R&D community in Singapore.
To develop technologies and solutions that can provide technological surprises to sharpen the cutting edge of Singapore’s national security.
DSO’s spirit of “learning by doing” and the “can do” ethos are encapsulated in the acronym KINETIC, depicting an organisation that is dynamic, energetic and constantly on the move.
