Dog care and control
Dog care and control
The law allows us to make orders to control dog movements and waste. This means we may make legal orders to:
Keep dogs off certain areas (exclusion orders)
Keep dogs on a lead when a council officer asks you
Keep the number of dogs per person to four
Remove dog waste.
Where there is an order, you must follow it. If you do not, we can fine you or take you to court.
