Strength and Conditioning 101 (Students Entering 9th Grade)
Do you plan on playing or participating in Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Cheer, Cross Country, or Swimming in the Fall? Or do you plan on training in the summer for another sport or just want to learn more about resistance training in general? Then the Strength & Conditioning 101 Camp is for you. The camp will be available to all incoming freshmen and will allow you an opportunity to meet your classmates and learn the fundamentals of resistance training.
The camp is a perfect introduction for any incoming freshman, whether you're a multi-sport athlete or have general interest in learning about resistance training. The focus will be on learning and executing the Big Three Lifts (squat, bench, and deadlift). Along with learning speed and jump mechanics that effectively and efficiently transfers to your arena. Finally, the camp will give you a jump start on your summer programs so you can train with confidence!
The camp is run by Christian Polega "Coach P" who has been the Strength and Conditioning Coach for NDP for the past 7 years. He has a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has a passion for keeping athletes on the field through a properly run age-appropriate strength and conditioning program that not only mitigates injury risk, but also improves performance. High School Football Camp - Offensive
This camp will provide every athlete the opportunity to develop individual fundamental skills within the shotgun zone read offensive system. Experienced staff will work to help each player reach his individual potential. Throughout the camp individuals will develop an understanding of the no-huddle, up-tempo offensive attack.
Camp will be led by Jason Whalen, who was named
the head coach of the Fighting Irish beginning in the 2026 season after serving 11 years as an assistant coach and offensive coordinator.
During that time, the Irish have reached the playoffs in seven consecutive years and produced one of the state’s most dynamic offenses. Whalen has helped Notre Dame Prep capture district titles in 2019, 2024 and 2025, regional championships in 2024 and 2025, and the 2024 state championship, followed by a runner-up finish in 2025.

High School Football Camp - Defensive
This camp will provide every athlete the opportunity to develop individual fundamental skills within the eight-man front pressure defensive package. Our experience coaching staff will work to help each and every player reach his individual potential. Throughout the camp individuals develop an understanding of how a pressure defense can limit an offense and control the tempo of the game.
Camp will be led by Jason Whalen, who was named
the head coach of the Fighting Irish beginning in the 2026 season after serving 11 years as an assistant coach and offensive coordinator.
During that time, the Irish have reached the playoffs in seven consecutive years and produced one of the state’s most dynamic offenses. Whalen has helped Notre Dame Prep capture district titles in 2019, 2024 and 2025, regional championships in 2024 and 2025, and the 2024 state championship, followed by a runner-up finish in 2025.

Youth Football Camp
At this three day non-contact camp, campers will learn from Notre Dame coaches about the game of football. Campers will be placed in two different groups based on grade and experience to meet the competitive level of each athlete. Offensive and defensive instruction will include technique play for interior linemen, linebackers, offensive backs, and defensive backs. Campers will rotate through stations to provide an opportunity to experience various positions. The main emphasis of the camp is to learn football technique, make new friends, and have fun!

This camp will focus on weight training, conditioning, as well as developing offensive and defensive skills specific to each position. Team offensive and defensive strategies will also be implemented. This camp will be coached by Notre Dame Prep 7/8 Football coaches Brandon Jezdimir, Jeff Hall and Bobbie Hall.

High School Boys Soccer Camp
Players attending the NDP summer camp will be challenged to take their game to a higher level. Players can expect competitive training sessions that will help enhance their technical skills, tactical awareness, systems of play knowledge, and improved conditioning.
Coach Rob Suffredini has been the head boys coach for the Fighting Irish since 2015. His Notre Dame Prep coaching career includes four district championships and four district coach of the year awards. He is a Notre Dame Harper Woods graduate that has played at the collegiate level where he earned all-conference and team MVP accolades. Coach Suffredini led Notre Dame Prep to a MHSAA State Championship in 2024 and was also named Coach of the Year.

High School Girls Soccer Camp
Players attending soccer camp will be challenged to take their game to a higher level. Players can expect competitive mind-body workouts that will help them enhance technical skills, learn new strategies, problem-solve within the flow of play, and improve conditioning.
Coach Jim Stachura has coached the Fighting Irish girls team since 2010 and has earned countless accolades including one state championship in 2016, three regional titles and nine district championships. In addition, Coach Stachura has been named district coach of the year nine times, regional coach of the year three times, was named the MIHSSCA State coach of the year once and was a finalist for the USCAA National coach of the year in 2016.

Cheer Clinic
Cheerleaders will be taught skills, cheers, and learn stunts to perform with the team during the first quarter of a future selected varsity home football game. Bring a water bottle, cheer/tennis shoes, and athletic clothing. A t-shirt and bow will be provided. The camp will be led by Notre Dame Prep head Competitive Cheer coach Jocelyn Welsh. Coach Welsh led Notre Dame Prep to MHSAA State Championships in 2025 and 2026.

Dance Camp
Calling all dancers from kindergarten to 8th grade! Join us for an exciting opportunity to dance with the NDP varsity dance team and perform at halftime during a varsity home football game. Learn dance techniques and routines from the talented NDP varsity dance team members. Each dancer will receive a clinic t-shirt and a stylish bow.
For practice, wear comfortable clothing you can move in and tennis shoes. On game day, please wear your NDP dance team t-shirt, bow, black leggings and tennis shoes.

Girls Basketball Grades 3-5 and Grades 6-8 Youth Camp
Join Varsity Girls Basketball Coach Matt Matuza and his coaching staff for an opportunity to develop strong fundamentals — including ball handling, shooting, footwork, passing, and defensive skills. This four day camp will enable athletes to have fun, learn the fundamentals of basketball, improve their skills, and make new friends.
Coach Matuza recently completed his first season at Notre Dame Prep and previously coached varsity at L’Anse Creuse North. He also spent years coaching for the Michigan Cagers (AAU) out of Swartz Creek, and for Greg Grant Basketball in Sterling Heights.

Girls/Boys Volleyball Camps
Notre Dame Prep Volleyball camps are designed to provide girls an opportunity to improve their individual skills in an atmosphere that is challenging, intense and fun. Our experienced staff, coaches and players, encourage all campers to work hard, learn new skills and make new friends. Fundamentals and team concepts will be stressed. The 9th grade session is designed to help players prepare for the transition to the high school level. Campers should arrive 15 minutes early on the first day to check in.
Camps are led by Hall of Fame Coach Betty Wroubel who is the third-winningest coach in MHSAA volleyball history. Her teams have won Class B state championship titles in 2007, 2013, 2017 and 2021. In addition, Coach Wroubel was named the 2019 Volleyball coach of the year by the National High School Athletics Coaches Association, earned the Women in Sports Leadership award in 2016 and has several Hall of Fame inductions by various organizations, including the National High School Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame (2021). Campers will not be disappointed, as they will be taught from one of the greatest high school volleyball coaches in Michigan’s history. These camps often sell out, so please sign up early - each session is capped at 36 participants!

Detroit Tigers Baseball and Softball Camp
The summer of 2026 will be our eighth year of Detroit Tigers Baseball/Softball Camps and we have plans to make it our best ever.
Any boy or girl who has ever picked up a bat, a ball and dared to dream the dream will find these week-long camps about as close to Tigers baseball heaven as they can get to being their favorite Tigers players.
Tigers Territory loves its baseball and softball. From tee-ball to travel ball, this is truly one of the nation's great hotbeds for these wonderful games. Notre Dame Prep Summer Camp FAQ
Where is camp located?
All camps will be held at Notre Dame Prep's main campus located at 1300 Giddings Road, Pontiac, Michigan 48340 unless otherwise noted. Please check camp descriptions for specific building and room/venue location.
Do I have to be a Notre Dame Prep student to attend camp?
No; all kids within the designated age/grade range are welcome to attend any of Notre Dame Prep's summer camps.
What happens if my child can only attend for part of the scheduled camp time?
No problem. Be sure to let the camp leader know if your child’s schedule will be different from the scheduled camp days and times.
Camps are not prorated.
Will my child be supervised?
Each camp is supervised and led by a Notre Dame Prep teacher, coach or faculty member and their staff. Current students may also help monitor. In addition, security is on campus for the entire summer camp experience.
How do I register my child?
For
academic camps
, you can conveniently register for summer camp through our online Active registration management system. For
athletic camps
, registration will take place via our GoFan event ticketing and registration page.
Do I need to purchase an Active or GoFan membership to register my child for summer camp?
No; you will need to set up a free account through the Active and/or GoFan online registration management system, but you will not need to purchase a membership.
Will my child get a t-shirt?
Some camps may offer a t-shirt to accompany the summer camp, but this is at the discretion of the coach/camp director.
How do I cancel my child's registration?
In the event you need to cancel your child's registration, please contact Stephanie Nester at snester@ndpma.org for academic camps or Aaron Crouse at acrouse@ndpma.org for athletic camps.
All cancellations are assessed a 50% cancellation fee.

As one of the area's most recognized programs, Notre Dame Prep's summer camps curriculum provides safe, fun, and skill-focused experiences for kids entering grades kindergarten through 12. This year's lineup includes a variety of both athletic and academic camps. Camps range offer instruction for all skill levels, from introductory to advanced. All camps are run by NDP faculty members or NDP coaches.
Notre Dame Prep has been providing quality and fun-filled summer-camp experiences for more than 20 years and maintains a proven safety track record. Under the expert care of our camp coaches, kids not only learn individual, sport-oriented or creative skills, but also develop personally and socially, learning teamwork and building life skills through interaction with fellow campers.
Register now! Great camps get cancelled because too many families wait until the last minute to register. Keep in mind our cancellation policy – A fee of 50% of the camp cost will be assessed for any cancellations. No paper registrations are accepted.

Notre Dame Prep Grades 7/8 Football Camp
This camp will focus on weight training, conditioning, as well as developing offensive and defensive skills specific to each position. Team offensive and defensive strategies will also be implemented. This camp will be coached by Notre Dame Prep 7/8 Football coaches Brandon Jezdimir, Jeff Hall and Bobbie Hall.

High School Boys Soccer Camp
Players attending the NDP summer camp will be challenged to take their game to a higher level. Players can expect competitive training sessions that will help enhance their technical skills, tactical awareness, systems of play knowledge, and improved conditioning.
Coach Rob Suffredini has been the head boys coach for the Fighting Irish since 2015. His Notre Dame Prep coaching career includes four district championships and four district coach of the year awards. He is a Notre Dame Harper Woods graduate that has played at the collegiate level where he earned all-conference and team MVP accolades. Coach Suffredini led Notre Dame Prep to a MHSAA State Championship in 2024 and was also named Coach of the Year.

High School Girls Soccer Camp
Players attending soccer camp will be challenged to take their game to a higher level. Players can expect competitive mind-body workouts that will help them enhance technical skills, learn new strategies, problem-solve within the flow of play, and improve conditioning.
Coach Jim Stachura has coached the Fighting Irish girls team since 2010 and has earned countless accolades including one state championship in 2016, three regional titles and nine district championships. In addition, Coach Stachura has been named district coach of the year nine times, regional coach of the year three times, was named the MIHSSCA State coach of the year once and was a finalist for the USCAA National coach of the year in 2016.

Cheer Clinic
Cheerleaders will be taught skills, cheers, and learn stunts to perform with the team during the first quarter of a future selected varsity home football game. Bring a water bottle, cheer/tennis shoes, and athletic clothing. A t-shirt and bow will be provided. The camp will be led by Notre Dame Prep head Competitive Cheer coach Jocelyn Welsh. Coach Welsh led Notre Dame Prep to MHSAA State Championships in 2025 and 2026.

Dance Camp
Calling all dancers from kindergarten to 8th grade! Join us for an exciting opportunity to dance with the NDP varsity dance team and perform at halftime during a varsity home football game. Learn dance techniques and routines from the talented NDP varsity dance team members. Each dancer will receive a clinic t-shirt and a stylish bow.
For practice, wear comfortable clothing you can move in and tennis shoes. On game day, please wear your NDP dance team t-shirt, bow, black leggings and tennis shoes.

Join Varsity Girls Basketball Coach Matt Matuza and his coaching staff for an opportunity to develop strong fundamentals — including ball handling, shooting, footwork, passing, and defensive skills. This four day camp will enable athletes to have fun, learn the fundamentals of basketball, improve their skills, and make new friends.
Coach Matuza recently completed his first season at Notre Dame Prep and previously coached varsity at L’Anse Creuse North. He also spent years coaching for the Michigan Cagers (AAU) out of Swartz Creek, and for Greg Grant Basketball in Sterling Heights.

Girls/Boys Volleyball Camps
Notre Dame Prep Volleyball camps are designed to provide girls an opportunity to improve their individual skills in an atmosphere that is challenging, intense and fun. Our experienced staff, coaches and players, encourage all campers to work hard, learn new skills and make new friends. Fundamentals and team concepts will be stressed. The 9th grade session is designed to help players prepare for the transition to the high school level. Campers should arrive 15 minutes early on the first day to check in.
Camps are led by Hall of Fame Coach Betty Wroubel who is the third-winningest coach in MHSAA volleyball history. Her teams have won Class B state championship titles in 2007, 2013, 2017 and 2021. In addition, Coach Wroubel was named the 2019 Volleyball coach of the year by the National High School Athletics Coaches Association, earned the Women in Sports Leadership award in 2016 and has several Hall of Fame inductions by various organizations, including the National High School Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame (2021). Campers will not be disappointed, as they will be taught from one of the greatest high school volleyball coaches in Michigan’s history. These camps often sell out, so please sign up early - each session is capped at 36 participants!

Detroit Tigers Baseball and Softball Camp
The summer of 2026 will be our eighth year of Detroit Tigers Baseball/Softball Camps and we have plans to make it our best ever.
Any boy or girl who has ever picked up a bat, a ball and dared to dream the dream will find these week-long camps about as close to Tigers baseball heaven as they can get to being their favorite Tigers players.
Tigers Territory loves its baseball and softball. From tee-ball to travel ball, this is truly one of the nation's great hotbeds for these wonderful games. Notre Dame Prep Summer Camp FAQ
Where is camp located?
All camps will be held at Notre Dame Prep's main campus located at 1300 Giddings Road, Pontiac, Michigan 48340 unless otherwise noted. Please check camp descriptions for specific building and room/venue location.
Do I have to be a Notre Dame Prep student to attend camp?
No; all kids within the designated age/grade range are welcome to attend any of Notre Dame Prep's summer camps.
What happens if my child can only attend for part of the scheduled camp time?
No problem. Be sure to let the camp leader know if your child’s schedule will be different from the scheduled camp days and times.
Camps are not prorated.
Will my child be supervised?
Each camp is supervised and led by a Notre Dame Prep teacher, coach or faculty member and their staff. Current students may also help monitor. In addition, security is on campus for the entire summer camp experience.
How do I register my child?
For
academic camps
, you can conveniently register for summer camp through our online Active registration management system. For
athletic camps
, registration will take place via our GoFan event ticketing and registration page.
Do I need to purchase an Active or GoFan membership to register my child for summer camp?
No; you will need to set up a free account through the Active and/or GoFan online registration management system, but you will not need to purchase a membership.
Will my child get a t-shirt?
Some camps may offer a t-shirt to accompany the summer camp, but this is at the discretion of the coach/camp director.
How do I cancel my child's registration?
In the event you need to cancel your child's registration, please contact Stephanie Nester at snester@ndpma.org for academic camps or Aaron Crouse at acrouse@ndpma.org for athletic camps.
All cancellations are assessed a 50% cancellation fee.

As one of the area's most recognized programs, Notre Dame Prep's summer camps curriculum provides safe, fun, and skill-focused experiences for kids entering grades kindergarten through 12. This year's lineup includes a variety of both athletic and academic camps. Camps range offer instruction for all skill levels, from introductory to advanced. All camps are run by NDP faculty members or NDP coaches.
Notre Dame Prep has been providing quality and fun-filled summer-camp experiences for more than 20 years and maintains a proven safety track record. Under the expert care of our camp coaches, kids not only learn individual, sport-oriented or creative skills, but also develop personally and socially, learning teamwork and building life skills through interaction with fellow campers.
Register now! Great camps get cancelled because too many families wait until the last minute to register. Keep in mind our cancellation policy – A fee of 50% of the camp cost will be assessed for any cancellations. No paper registrations are accepted.
