Meharry empowers diverse, underserved populations through research and thought leadership. These activities advance health equity and connects labs to the bedside and the classroom, providing faculty and students remarkable insight.
We are pursuing groundbreaking research in genomics, social determinants of health, precision health and other areas that will improve healthcare for all –– especially underserved populations.

Our clinics provide patient-centered care for the entire family. Offerings include dental care on campus and, through the Meharry Medical Group, an ever-growing number of clinics in the Middle Tennessee area.
A Leader in Oral Healthcare
Dr. Dancy is a proud Meharrian graduating from the college in the Class of 1998. Today he is a leading restorative and cosmetic dentist in Atlanta, Georgia.

Legacy of Service
Samantha Seibert, a 2025 Meharry medical graduate, continued her family’s rich legacy. For generations the Seibert family has been deeply rooted in Meharry’s mission of education, service, and community care. Nearly 30 years ago, the Wilda Seibert Adopt-A-Grandparent Program was established to provide free dental care to low-income seniors -impacting more than 2,000 lives and exemplifying Meharry’s commitment to healthcare for all.
