PARTIAL CLOSURE NOTICE
As part of the preparations for the new Gozo Museum, sections of the Gozo Nature Museum will close as of Friday 20th March. Visitors are still welcome to enjoy free entry from Tuesday to Sunday, with access to the Natura 2000 sites displays on the upper floor and the museum’s recreational spaces and back garden.
DISCOVER GOZO’S NATURAL HERITAGE
An audio-visual experience explores Gozo’s terrestrial Natura 2000 sites, showcasing fragile habitats that support a variety of endemic flora and fauna. You can also learn about important seabird species that breed on the island. A dedicated room focuses on the Natura 2000 site of the Ċittadella itself – a historic fortified city with unique ecological characteristics that sustain rare plants and local fauna, including several bat species.
RELAX IN THE GARDEN
At the rear of the museum, a small garden offers striking views of the Gozo Cathedral. The garden features flora typical of a garigue habitat, allowing visitors to observe indigenous plant species up close.
