About OUR UNIVERSITY
Global University Bangladesh (GUB) is a private university located at Barishal, a city in south-central Bangladesh. The University Grants Commission of Bangladesh approved it in 2013 and was established in 2015 under the Private University Act 2010. It is accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of Bangladesh. It is the first private university in Barishal Division. Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanok, is the founder of the university & the Secretary, Board of Trustees,GUB and Syeda Arjuman Banu Nargis is the Chairman of Board of Trustees, GUB. GUB is the pioneer in providing quality higher education privately to a populace who had been deprived of this prime right for a very long time since the Independence of our beloved country. GUB has two well decorated study buildings at Notullabath and about 10 acres land for permanent campus at Babugonj in Barishal. Despite having comparatively small campu along with the academic activities, the students of the university have ampis opportunities to perform different sports and cultural activities. GUB wants to be premier institution in teaching and research by taking all the necessary steps that are being made available at present to ensure appropriate environment for performing academic and research activities in a very harmonic situation GUB is striving to instill the sense of right, interest, attitude, morale and intellect in our students so that they are equipped with the best knowledge, skills, competence and attitude that they can utilize for their individual betterment and the prosperity of the society in general.
