License Updates
The application deadline for big game draw licenses has passed. Draw results will be available April 22.
Draw results for bear and turkey permits are now available! 2026-27 bear or turkey license purchase is required for successful applicants after March 25.
Licenses are available online, by phone (888-248-6866), or in person at license vendors and NMDGF offices. Print from your account or request a copy from vendors or
ispa@dgf.nm.gov
.
All Big-game & turkey licenses also
require a carcass tag
(unless
E-Tag
chosen).
DO NOT HUNT WITHOUT A VALID TAG!

Alerts
The presence of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, has been detected at Holloman Lake near Alamogordo. The New Mexico Department of Health encourages anyone who consumed or captured wildlife from Holloman Lake between 2010-2024 to contact their healthcare provider should they have any concerns. Access to the lake and the land surrounding it is currently closed to the public. For the latest information, please
visit the Holloman Air Force Base website
