At the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), we are committed to building a digitally inclusive, secure, and forward-looking Pakistan. Our mission is to ensure that every citizen regardless of geography or background, has access to reliable, affordable, and high-quality telecommunications and digital services.
In today’s fast evolving world, digital connectivity is no longer a luxury, it is a fundamental enabler for education, healthcare, business, and social inclusion. On this transformative journey, PTA stands as both a catalyst and a guardian of progress, shaping regulatory and licensing landscape guided by technological advancement that not only support innovation but also protect the rights and interests of users.
In line with this commitment, we take pride in remarkable strides made by Pakistan’s telecom sector including record growth in telecom subscribers, substantial expansion of broadband coverage and the local manufacturing of millions of mobile devices. PTA has also laid the foundation for adoption of future technologies such as 5G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and advanced Wi-Fi standards, ensuring that Pakistan remains at the forefront of digital transformation.
