Facilities Management
INL is a multiprogram, federally funded research and development center (FFRDC) emphasizing applied engineering to provide solutions for use across the DOE complex, as well as regionally, nationally, and worldwide.
The
Office of Facilities Management
manages programs to maintain and deliver nuclear research facilities and capabilities at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) that are required to help meet the nation’s strategic needs in energy and national security. It is part of the Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy (NE).
The Idaho Facilities Management program operates, manages, maintains, and dispositions NE owned facilities and capabilities. The Idaho Site-Wide Safeguards and Security program ensures the safety, operability, and security of these facilities. Together, these two programs ensure the availability of the INL’s nuclear research facilities and capabilities to researchers from government, industry and academia.
