SUMMER NATURE CAMP
JUNE 2 - AUGUST 8
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Studying science and history helps children to know and understand the world around them.
The Museum offers your child this opportunity in a safe, fun, and educational setting. Through
non-traditional teaching techniques, campers are encouraged to explore science, animal behavior,
history, and their local environment using interactive lessons and educational games and crafts.

12TH ANNUAL
WISH UPON A BUTTERFLY
JULY 19
9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Monarch butterflies will fill the skies in a mid-morning event, "Wish Upon a Butterfly" at the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History. This symbolic event will highlight the elegant monarch, the Texas state insect, and a signature icon of transformation, hope, and awe.

BUFFALO STAMPEDE
OCTOBER 18
5K Race & 1 Mile Fun Run
Runners will also be stampeding their way through Bryan/College Station, Texas on October 18 at 7:30am as the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History hosts its 17th annual Buffalo Stampede!​ Runners of all ages are welcome, and female and male 5K winners in each age division ranging from 12-and-under to 80 plus will receive a beautiful custom trophy or medal!

BOONVILLE DAYS
OCTOBER 18
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Enjoy Boonville Days, a Texas history festival of fronteir skills, chuck wagon cooking, arts, and music.  Festive Boonville Days activities from 9am-4pm are inside and outside the Museum. Museum admission is free during the event!

DISCOVERY ROOM
Live snakes, turtles, fish, tarantulas, scorpions, and much more are on display in the Museum's Discovery Room. Taxidermy mounts, rocks, minerals, and children's books make this room a hit with visitors of all ages.

The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History has served the Brazos Valley in many ways since its founding in 1961. There is no other museum within a 100 mile radius of Bryan and College Station which focuses on natural and cultural history and encourages human interaction with nature.

BOONVILLE HERITAGE PARK
Occupying 11.29 acres, the park is home to the Turner-Peters log house, an original 1856 structure furnished with 19th century pieces that were typical to the Texas frontier.
