Mission
As part of the Springfield Public Library, the mission of the Springfield History Museum is to foster an awareness of the history of Springfield, provide a link between our past and our present, and promote an appreciation of the diverse communities that call Springfield and rural east Lane County home.
Our Vision
We envision the Springfield Museum as a resource for scholars and historians of all ages and a community space where the preservation of our past will help us build our future.
Discover Springfield's history
The Museum is currently closed to the public while we work to preserve and care for our large collection of artifacts. We will reopen July 10, 2026.

This project was made possible through the support of the Springfield Public Library Foundation and in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the State Library of Oregon.
