Rail services between Huddersfield and Leeds will be disrupted during May and June to allow work to continue on the multi-billion-pound Transpennine Route Upgrade.
Kirklees will take centre stage in cycling history in summer 2027 when the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift passes through the district as part of its first ever visit to Britain.
Plans to revitalise the historic Huddersfield market and secure its future for generations to come have been approved by Kirklees Council’s Planning Committee at its meeting on Thursday 16 April.
