Board Reappointments
TBPELS is honored to announce that Governor Abbott has re-appointed the following Board Members:
Chairman Dr. Sina Nejad, PE; Coleen Johnson, RPLS; and Dr. Margo McClinton Stoglin.
Their terms will run through September 2031.
Texas America 250
As the greatest state in the Union, Texas has much to celebrate. During the 87th Legislative
Session in 2021, Governor Abbott signed Senate Concurrent Resolution 23,
officially establishing the Texas America250 Commission, "to help
celebrate the semiquincentennial of the United States." Since its creation,
the Commission has facilitated and coordinated events and programs throughout
Texas for Texans of all ages to commemorate this historic milestone.

Two Year Renewal Changes
In order to comply with
Senate Bill 681 from the 89th legislature
,
TBPELS is implementing rules to shift license and registration renewals to a two year cycle.
This operational change will take place over the next two years.

The 2025 Regular Session of the Texas Legislature officially ended on June 2, 2025.
