The heartbeat of government performance management
The PIC supports cross-agency collaboration and sharing of promising practices to improve Federal program and service delivery for the American people. Its role is to advance and expand the practice of organizational performance management and improvement across the Federal Government.

Who
Performance Improvement Officers (PIOs) and associated staff from Federal agencies. The PIC is chaired by OMB's Deputy Director for Management and supported by staff in the Office of Shared Solutions and Performance Improvement at GSA.
What
Assist the Director of OMB to improve the performance of the Federal Government and achieve the Federal Government's priority goals, as well as drive the use of performance information in promoting evidence-based decision-making.
Why
To create efficiencies by aligning strategies, informing policy development, and fostering collaboration and best practice sharing among agencies.
How
Convenes regular recurring meetings for collaboration, coordination, and discussion of policies and practices that drive performance improvement and the use of performance information to support evidence-based decision-making.
