Dementia Centre for Research Collaboration
OUR FLAGSHIP PROJECTS
The Dementia Centre for Research Collaboration (DCRC) is dedicated to reducing the risk of dementia and improving the lives of people living with dementia and their carers through prevention efforts, timely diagnosis, optimal treatment, excellent care and community integration.
The International Research Network on Dementia Prevention (IRNDP)
The IRNDP has been established to increase dementia risk reduction messaging worldwide, and develop targeted research to answer questions about the detailed impact of known and emerging risk factors in dementia.
Capacity Building for Care Research (CBCR) Program
The CBCR Program aims to develop the research capacity of Australian dementia care researchers in nursing and allied health disciplines.
Behaviours & Psychological Symptoms associated with Dementia (BPSD)
The main aims of the project are to develop and implement effective strategies that improve care, prevent or reduce BPSD and improve quality of life for people living with dementia.
DEMENTIA KNOWLEDGE TRANSLATION
The DCRC places a strong emphasis on knowledge translation (KT)
Specifically, translating dementia research into practice. The Dementia Centre for Research Collaboration (DCRC) engages in Knowledge Translation (KT) activities within each hub and across the DCRC as a whole. Our focus is on dementia research related to KT and assisting other researchers to progress dementia specific projects toward KT outcomes.
