Who We Are
The Ministry was originally known as the Ministry of Information, Youth, Sport and Culture and has evolved over the years with different nomenclatures under various administration.
Since 2nd September, 2019 the Ministry (now approved) is known and addressed as the Ministry of Information, Culture & Tourism by the Oyo State Government.
The Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism was established by the Oyo State Government and assented to by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde on the 2nd September, 2019.

To be the leading communication and engagement service provider and culture tourism promoter of the state.

Mandate
The Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism has the mandate to supervise following parastatals:
Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS);
Oyo State Government Printing Press;
Oyo State Council for Arts and Culture;
Any other parastatal or agency that may be brought under its supervision by the government.
