Welcome to NICVD
National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) is a State of the Art Institute for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases in Bangladesh. The institute was established in 1978 with the aim of establishing modern cardiovascular care services in the country and to develop trained manpower in this field for the need of the country. Besides rendering the best possible services and care for the cardiac patients, Post Graduate medical courses for the doctors were introduced in this Institute in July 1982. Meanwhile 166 doctors have obtained MD (Cardiology), 99 doctors obtained MS (Cardiovascular & thoracic Surgery) and 178 doctors obtained D. Card (Diploma in Cardiology) from this Institute and presently engaged in providing specialized cardiac care services in different Govt. & Non Govt. Hospitals in Bangladesh and abroad. This institute has experience of conducting training program for the nurses (CCU, ICU, Cath Lab, OT) along with the training of other supporting technologists. We also give training to the non-govt. doctors to provide better service to the community.
