TamilNadu Electrical Licencing Board
The Tamilnadu "
Electrical Licensing
Board"
is a body constituted by the Government of
Tamilnadu under rule 45 of Indian Electrcitiy Rules 1956, for the issue of
competency certificates and Licenses to the contractors.
The Chief
Electrical Inspector to Government is the President of the Licensing Board
.
The head office is located in the Industrial Estate, Guindy, Chennai. This
Electrical Licensing Board has no Branches. It issues, and renews Licenses
of different category.
These Licenses are mandatory for anybody to
carryout any electrical installation works. Here all the services are done
with a minimal amount that is charged to the
applicant.
1. The prescribed fees for issue of Qualified 'C' for EA grade and Qualified Supervisor for ESA
grade is Rs.15,000/- & Rs 25,000/- respectively with effect from 01.05.2022 || 2.All electrical contractors possessing EB,ESB,EA,ESA grade should also submit the copy of
contractor license along with renewal application.
