Introducing “Toilet Tales” – A New Gallery at the Sulabh Campus
We are pleased to announce the opening of our newest gallery, “Toilet Tales,” at the Sulabh Campus in New Delhi. Now open to visitors, this unique exhibition adds a new dimension to the renowned Sulabh International Museum of Toilets. The gallery traces the evolution of sanitation in Britain from the early 1800s to the early 1900s — a period that transformed hygiene, public health, and everyday life. Featuring original fixtures from Victorian and Edwardian England, including water closets, cisterns, chamber pots, bathtubs, signage, and personal hygiene items, the exhibition offers a fascinating glimpse into the development of modern sanitation.
Beyond design and technology, the gallery highlights the social and public health changes that shaped sanitation history, presenting toilets not only as functional objects but as reflections of cultural change and human progress. The gallery is open to all visitors and invites everyone to explore this remarkable journey of innovation and ingenuity.

Memorial Centre
The Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak Memorial Centre, inaugurated on April 2, 2025, at Sulabh Gram in New Delhi, stands as a tribute to the life and legacy of Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak, the visionary founder of Sulabh International and a pioneer of India’s sanitation movement. This Centre is dedicated to preserving and showcasing Dr. Pathak’s lifelong mission to promote dignity, social reform, and environmental sanitation.
The Memorial Centre offers an immersive experience that chronicles Dr. Pathak’s transformative journey—from his groundbreaking efforts to eradicate manual scavenging to his innovations in eco-friendly sanitation technologies. Through interactive exhibits, multimedia installations, and curated displays, visitors gain insight into his enduring impact on public health, social justice, and sustainable development.
Located within the campus of the Sulabh International Museum of Toilets, the Centre complements the museum’s global narrative on sanitation history by focusing on Dr. Pathak’s contributions to India’s sanitation revolution. It serves as both an educational hub and a space for reflection, inspiring future generations to continue his mission of inclusive and sustainable sanitation for all.
MHM Knowledge Hub
The
Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) Knowledge Hub
at the Sulabh campus is a dedicated space for fostering education, research, and advocacy on menstrual hygiene management.
The Hub was officially inaugurated on May 28, 2024, by His Excellency Ambassador Demeke A. Ambulo, the Ethiopian Ambassador to India. This milestone represents a significant step forward in our mission to break the silence around menstruation and provide essential knowledge and resources to all.
