Message from the Vice Chancellor’s Desk
Prof. Nandini Sahu
Vice-Chancellor
As I take over the position of the Vice Chancellor, Hindi University, West Bengal, I consider the challenges of this new university as opportunities for me towards social contribution and commitment. I have had multiple meetings and interactions with the faculty, staff and students of the university and I am glad, relieved to see that they are people of commitment and dedication to academics. In the very first week, we introduced the HINDI UNIVERSITY SPECIAL LECTURE SERIES and invited Prof.Anisur Rehman to deliver the first lecture of the series, which was a grand success. We shall invite the best brains of the country to collaborate with us in very near future. Before I get into serious engagements with academic and professional activities of the university, I conceive my roadmap for the university. My vision and plan for Promoting Indian and Foreign Languages: At Hindi University, West Bengal, we believe that language is not merely a medium of communication but a repository of cultural heritage, intellectual thought, and collective identity. As Vice Chancellor, I am committed to fostering a multilingual ecosystem that promotes linguistic diversity while strengthening cultural integration. Our institution envisions becoming a hub for the study, preservation and advancement of Indian and global languages. With this in mind,...

The town of Howrah is situated almost at the centre of this radius. No wonder that the State Government has judiciously chosen Howrah as the location of Hindi University and has opened up the entire State for its operational territory. The Hindi University Act (West...
