“A superior place to discover and uncover the history and culture of Boone County, Missouri. The Montminy Gallery is a wonderful feature of this historical society headquarters. The home of the famous “Blind Boone” piano, the collections are vast and unparalleled.”

“This is a great place to visit with family in Columbia. The exhibits in the museum and art gallery are well-curated and displayed. The 18th- and 19th century model houses nicely portray Columbia’s past. The center also hosts family events with food, music and children’s activity once in a while, which can be great experience for all adults and children alike.”

“There are books for sale that tell the history of Boone County. I have found a lot of people in my mother’s side of the family in these books. Pioneers of Boone County for the most part. If your family was from Boone County, it’s a pretty safe bet that they will be mentioned. Everyone knew everyone else so. Hopefully, you will find your family heritage.”
