Wayne County Community College District Recognized By Achieving the Dream as A 2026 Leader College
Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD) announced today that it has been designated a 2026 Leader College by Achieving the Dream (ATD), a national organization committed to advancing community colleges as accessible hubs of learning, credentialing, and economic mobility.
WCCCD Chancellor Dr. Curtis L. Ivery Elected to Metropolitan Affairs Coalition Board
The Metropolitan Affairs Coalition is a unique public/private partnership dedicated to equity and sustainability, creating economic opportunity, improving quality of life, and promoting regional cooperation in Southeast Michigan.
WCCCD Chancellor Dr. Curtis Ivery Receives Phi Theta Kappa’s Shirley B. Gordon Award of Distinction
Dr. Curtis L. Ivery, Chancellor of Wayne County Community College District has been awarded the Shirley B. Gordon Award of Distinction from the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK). The award is the Society’s highest honor for community college presidents and chancellors. Dr. Ivery will be recognized during PTK Catalyst, PTK’s annual international convention.
