Bouncing around a buzzing Bunbury with Ben Small! First stop: meeting the remarkable Giacci family and seeing the success story that is MGM Bulk.
A family business that has become one of the country’s biggest transport companies, MGM are moving the resources that power our economy, creating jobs and opportunity along the way.
But here’s the reality. They need fuel. They use over 45 million litres of diesel a year. If supply stops, they stop, our country stops.
If we want to restore our standard of living and protect our way of life, we need to back businesses like this.
It’s why this week we’ve announced our plans to unlock what is sitting beneath us. I want to see 30 years of supply, rather than 30 days. It’s time to drill, dig and pay down the debt.
(And you can’t not stop at the Bunbury Farmers Market on the way through, because I need fuel too!)

Twenty years later, we face a different number. One that is growing and getting worse. But the principle is unchanged. Good government can rebuild what has been lost.

Australians should benefit from what’s beneath our feet. The resources powering our homes, fuelling our cars, creating jobs, and securing our future.
It’s the envy of the world.
But under Labor? Tax it. Tie it in red tape. Make projects wait eight years for a decision.
The result: jobs gone, industries stalling, and critical energy projects stuck in limbo while your power and fuel bills keep climbing.
If we’re not drilling, we’re not prepared for moments like this, when global supply tightens, Australians pay the price.
Today the Coalition has laid out the plan to get Australia moving again – more resources, more exports, more jobs, more homes.
✅ Fix broken environmental approvals
✅ Fast-track nationally significant projects like oil and gas
✅ Boost incentives for early-stage exploration
✅ Scrap Labor’s carbon tax (aka the Safeguard Mechanism)
Dig, drill, and pay down the debt bill. 🇦🇺

But those standards are slipping and Labor is letting it happen.
We’ll lift them again, protect our way of life and get Australia back to where we belong.

Growing up on the edge of the Snowy Mountains in the 70s: footy in the dust, riding horses on the farm, and four boys keeping each other honest.
It was a simpler time, but a way of life worth protecting.
Every Australian kid deserves the chance to grow up with a bit of that same freedom and possibility.

Labor has abandoned Australians in regional communities. So today the Coalition is committing $200 million to deliver healthcare built to last. This will complete the Albury-Wodonga Hospital upgrade and establish the first Medicare Mental Health Centre in the region.
Our plan is simple. Fix the gaps, build for the future and deliver better care.
This is something Raissa has been fighting hard for, standing up for local families and pushing to get this done. And only a Coalition government will make it a reality.

Raissa introduced me to Matt Leeworthy from Hadar Projects, who has been working on builds at Murray Park Estate and seen their costs skyrocket, red tape get in the way and projects stall.
As an Albury City Councillor and using our immigration plan, Raissa knows exactly what needs to be done to get homes like these on the market so Australians can make the dream of homeownership a reality.
