We will make every effort to ensure you and your loved ones are made as comfortable as possible from the time of your admission, until you are released for home.
At Methodist West, a service of UnityPoint Health - Des Moines, we work closely with Des Moines Orthopaedic Surgeons (DMOS) because we want you to have the very best care. This experienced group of surgeons was the first in the state of Iowa to perform a total knee replacement. The
Orthopaedic Center of Excellence
at Methodist West performs more orthopaedic surgeries in Iowa than any other hospital system.
The beautiful and comfortable
maternity center
includes private labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum rooms, allowing mothers to stay in one room for the duration of their stay. There is also a secure newborn nursery with specially-trained neonatal nurse practitioners and transport nurses from Blank Children’s Hospital available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The surgery department contains 14 private, pre-operative rooms, six leading edge operating rooms and an endoscopy suite.
