ABOUT US
Who we are?
Excel Children Medical Centre came into being in Nov. 1995, when the global goal was health for all by the year 2000. It was then believed that through specialization and super-specialization, we would continue striving to the achievement of this global goal.
For now, through personalized specialist care, Excel Medical Centre now offers services that cover a wide range of paediatrics, paediatric surgical and general surgical and specialist family health services and emergency services.
Vision & Mission
The strive to provide a focused, aggressive and personalized specialist care for the family, in a conducive homely environment, with the child at the centre. We have faith in our ability to deliver through hard work, accountability, MERIT and by the blessings of the Almighty GOD.

OUR SERVICE UNITS
Emergencies
All hands are on deck under the consultants when an emergency presents at Excel. All the units are quickly notified and well postured to handle the emergencies.
Laboratory Services
A modern well-equipped laboratory serves our hospital needs and is open 24hrs a day. Investigations done include a wide range of microbiological, chemical pathological and haematological tools:
Ultrasound Scan & ECG
With a modern COMBISON 310A, regular studies of the liver, spleen, pancreas, kidneys, arterial and various supplies of abdominal structures, and the pelvic organs are done on a 24hr basis.
Radiology
Our 24-hour X-ray unit studies radiologically the entire skeletal system, the chest, abdomen, skull; and special tests like IVU, HSG, oral cholecystogram, micturating urethrocystogram
Endoscopy
The endoscopy unit utilizes rigid endoscopes to study the upper and lower gastro intestinal tracts, the larynx and trachea, urethra and bladder.
Theatre
Our surgical theatre with its recovery room is equipped to handle minor, sub major, major and super-major operations
MEET OUR HEAD DOCTOR
Dr. Ejike Orji
Paediatric Surgeon
He
is a fellow of the international college of surgeons. He was the first in house surgeon at the First Consultants Medical Centre Lagos and developed the department to a level of recognition by the Nigerian Medical Council for the training of house officers in 1995. He was the Director of clinical services of the same hospital, and held other administrative offices of trust while there.
He is a member of the Association of the Paediatric Surgeons of Nigeria.
He is a very experienced surgeon an has an immense interest in ‘good doctoring’ and in mechanical adventurism.
