Who We Are
NextGen America is a nationwide organization working to educate and empower young people to organize, vote, and lead. We meet young people where they are– on college campuses and online – to build collective power and create change on the issues shaping their lives and futures.
Young people have inherited enormous challenges: from a rigged economy to a democracy dominated by powerful special interests that too often fails to represent them. We believe that with the right tools, education, and resources, young people can grow their electoral participation, shape culture, and help build a more just future.
We help young people across the country build campus communities rooted in organizing, connection, and care to create change and build power.

Our Impact
As one of the nation’s largest youth vote organizations, we’ve spent over a decade organizing 18-29-year-olds, working on college campuses across the country, and engaging young people in our democracy. Since 2013 we’ve registered more than 1.6 million young voters, and mobilized millions more. In 2024, 67% of the young voters NextGen registered cast a ballot, with 55% of these voters casting a vote for the first time.
This high turnout is not an accident, it’s a direct result of our consistent, community-driven strategy. That’s why in 2026, we’re doubling down on what we know works: year-round in-depth listening, engaging, and organizing with a content-forward, culturally relevant approach.
