The Sainik School Bhubaneswar was started in
15 January 1962
by Late Shri Biju Patnaik Chief Minister of Orissa. The infrastructure and new building was completed within two years at the present location. The inauguration of Sainik School Bhubaneswar was dane by Late Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru on 08 Jan 1964.
