March 2026: What's Happening in NYC Public Schools
Dear PPA Families,
Monthly, the Department of Education publishes a "What's Happening in NYC Public Schools" with translations to Spanish, Albanian, Arabic, Bangla, French, and more. Please visit

Summer Rising, high school offers for fall 2026, Parent-Teacher Conferences (PTCs), Civics Week,

PPA Open House CANCELLED
PPA's Open House scheduled for Saturday, November 22 has been cancelled. We are currently search for a date to reschedule. We will make an announcement when this new date has been schedule. We apologize for any inconvenience, and we still very much look forward to discussing our school community with you on another date.

Evacuation (10/08)
Dear Columbus Campus Community,
The safety and well-being of our students is our highest priority. We are deeply committed to maintaining a secure learning environment and have implemented comprehensive safety protocols and security measures across our campus to ensure that every student feels protected and supported.
This morning, at approximately 8:40 a.m., school administration was alerted to an unverified threat posted on a social media platform. In line with our strict safety procedures, administrators immediately contacted the NYPD, activated our campus safety protocol, and placed the school on a hold. A precautionary evacuation was then conducted while the NYPD performed a thorough search of the building.
Following their investigation, the NYPD determined the building was safe and authorized re-entry. Officers remained on site to provide continued support and reassurance to our school community.
We will continue to work closely with the NYPD and other safety partners to monitor our campus and uphold the highest standards of security. Our team remains vigilant and proactive in ensuring a safe environment for all students, staff, and families.
