Welcome to Glendale Primary School
Which is located in Hamersley on Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar (country), catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Just 15 kilometres north of Perth CBD, our school is set among beautiful native gardens and shady trees, creating a calm and welcoming environment.
We are proud of our strong reputation for providing high-quality, inclusive education. Our approach is play-based and inquiry-driven, fostering creativity, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. At Glendale PS, every child is supported to reach their full potential through a focus on higher-order thinking, problem-solving skills, wellbeing, and positive behaviour strategies. Our school values diversity and strives to create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all students.
In the Early Years, students engage in hands-on, play-based learning that encourages exploration and investigation. As students’ progress through the middle and senior years, learning becomes increasingly personalised through our Education Research Project model. This is balanced with explicit, structured instruction to ensure a comprehensive and effective educational experience.
Glendale Primary School is recognised as a leader in play-based education, having been nominated for the 2025 WA Education Awards for excellence in our delivery model. Our staff regularly mentor and showcase this approach for educators from across Western Australia and internationally.
Our experienced and caring staff provide a wide range of specialist programs, including Indonesian, music, art, engineering and digital technologies, and physical education. Targeted support and extension ensure all students can thrive.
We prioritise early identification of individual student needs, whether for extension or additional support, and provide targeted interventions based on evidence-based practices.
As a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) School, we promote respectful and responsible behaviours. Our school community upholds the VOICE values:

We value our long-standing strong partnerships with families and the wider community, with an active P&C and School Board playing an important role in school life, supporting student success and community connection.
