Gulgong Public School is a warm and supportive community where every child is known, valued and encouraged to do their best. Our teachers use strong, consistent practices such as explicit teaching, visible learning, clear goals, success criteria and regular feedback, helping students understand their progress and feel confident in their learning. Our students achieve strong academic results, with many performing at high national levels and showing notable growth in Reading and Mathematics. They also enjoy a balanced range of opportunities in sport, creative arts, public speaking and local Eisteddfod events, where they regularly excel through hard work, talent and dedicated support from staff.
STEM is a major strength at our school, with students engaged in coding, robotics, artificial intelligence and digital media, including our Radio GPS video podcast program. We offer strong early-years connections through Tiny Steps each Friday and our Little Steps to Big School transition program. We value genuine partnerships with families through Parent Learning Walks and the ongoing support of our P&C.
