Kirk School – A Community Since 1961
Welcome to
Kirk School
A community school since 1961
Guiding Children Toward a Lifelong Passion for Learning
At Kirk School, a lifelong passion for learning begins with meaningful connections and a whole-child approach to education. Our nurturing teachers build strong, supportive relationships with each child, creating a safe space for curiosity, exploration, and discovery. With a low teacher-to-student ratio and hands-on learning, we foster academic, social, emotional, and creative growth—helping each child build confidence, discover their strengths, and develop a lasting love of learning.
Growing Together:
In and Beyond the Classroom
Circle of Responsibility
It takes a village!
Find out how ours works!
At Kirk School, education is a shared journey between students, families, and educators. Our Circle of Responsibility fosters a support system that evolves as children grow — encouraging independence, accountability, and self-reliance. Together, we help students build the confidence and skills they need to move forward—ready for middle school and beyond.
Executive Function Superhero Academy
Unleashing the Superpowers Inside Every Student
At Kirk, students from TK through 5th grade team up with a crew of animal superheroes—such as Flexible Fish, Self-Control Sloth, and Planning Penguin—to develop real-world executive functioning skills through engaging, hands-on activities. Designed to support each grade level, the program helps kids enhance their focus, stay organized, and approach problems with confidence—preparing them for school and life’s challenges.
Character Assemblies
Honoring Community, Leadership, and Values
At Kirk, we warmly invite families to join us in celebrating student leadership and important school events led by the Student Council. Each assembly recognizes our Character of the Month, Student of the Month, and Good Sportsmanship awards—highlighting students who embody values such as kindness, perseverance, and respect. These gatherings showcase the qualities that strengthen our community and inspire us all to grow together.
Student Council
Empowering Young Leaders, Inspiring Tomorrow
Beginning in second grade, students can take active roles in Kirk’s Student Council by leading monthly character assemblies, promoting school events, and helping to shape the spirit of our community. Through partnerships with local nonprofits, they gain real-world experience in service and leadership, building empathy, responsibility, and confidence as they grow into compassionate community champions.

“There’s something special about Kirk’s early childhood program. It’s not flashy; it’s full of heart. With my family far away, I wanted more than just a school for my little ones. The moment I walked onto campus, I felt a quiet sense of home. The care, support, and kindness made us feel safe and genuinely welcomed from the very beginning.”
— Kate H., Kirk Parent
“I’m so grateful to Kirk’s close-knit community for giving my children the confidence to spread their wings. With a strong academic foundation and a deep focus on social-emotional learning, they’ve thrived and found success in middle school and high school.”
— Michelle W. B., Kirk Parent
“Kirk feels like a small town tucked inside a big city, a place where everyone knows your name and connections run deep. It’s more than a school; it’s a second home where my two boys are truly seen and celebrated. It takes me back to the close-knit community I cherished in my childhood.”
