About Our Hospital
Working in a friendly community-focused hospital environment, our highly skilled medical professionals are committed to delivering whole person care to the people of Lehi and beyond. All Holy Cross Hospital employees commit to upholding the highest standards of patient care in an environment of respect.
A fixture in northern Utah, we continue to strive toward delivering unparalleled long-term services, equipment and facilities to meet the changing health care needs of our communities.
Our goal is to approach every situation and every patient with a caring heart. That means providing culturally competent care, extensive translation and interpretation services and partner programs to help families stay healthy.
Professional Nursing contributes to patient care at Holy Cross Hospital – Mountain Point and the surrounding community through the following services:
Bone, joint, and spine care:
Nurses and nurse practitioners provide pre-and post-operative care to patients needing new joints or other surgical interventions. Nurses prioritize early mobility and pain control to help patients get home as soon as possible.
Cardiology care:
Nurses coordinate cardiac testing for early identification of heart disease and cardiac rehabilitation following a heart disease diagnosis. Our skilled Cardiac catheterization lab works to improve circulation and collaborate with the Emergency Department to provide prompt interventions to reduce the negative effects of heart attacks. Cardiac nurses provide inpatients with support and monitoring to identify and manage cardiac symptoms and arrhythmias.
Case management care:
Nurse case managers begin the process of discharge planning coordination shortly after patients are admitted. Nurse case managers collaborate with nurses for a discharge plan which supports the requests of patients and their family members.
Emergency and Trauma care:
Emergency nurses drive the implementation of protocols providing optimum outcomes for sepsis, stroke, and heart attack patients. Nurses triage patients to decrease wait times and provide prompt emergency care. Nurses support the achievement of and care provided through our Level III Trauma Certification.
Intensive care:
Nurses care for patients who need critical care, along with those requiring ventilation support. These ill patients require highly skilled nursing interventions. Intensive Care nurses have worked to reduce patient infections and improve patient mobility and comfort, supporting both the patient and their family members.
Medical and surgical care:
Nurses care with compassion for patients needing general medical and/or surgical services. Acute care nurses have protocols to reduce hospital-acquired infections to influence hospital length of stay and increase patient comfort.
Outpatient care:
Nurses support patients who may not need an inpatient stay but need care and treatment. Our gastrointestinal trained nurses prepare and care for patients needing procedures like endoscopies or colonoscopies. Interventional radiology nurses support patients through skilled diagnostic procedures to inform their healthcare. Nurses are trained in Infusion Therapy and can provide outpatient intravenous medications, including antibiotics.
Perioperative care:
Our skilled nurses support the patient through preparation for surgery, assist during surgical procedures, and provide support and care during the recovery process. Professional nursing organization standards have been implemented by perioperative nurses, including the time-out process, reduction of micro-organisms that can result in infections, and team communication to track surgical instruments.
