IB
Every student at Atlanta International School can study the International Baccalaureate (IB) World School curriculum from 3K - Grade 12.
The IB is renowned for its academic rigor and emphasis on a student's intellectual, personal, emotional and social development.
This highly sought after curriculum develops students who are prepared for the challenges of our interconnected world.
MORE
PYP
Our Primary School students, 3K - Grade 5, follow the IB Primary Years Program (PYP).
Structured around transdisciplinary themes, PYP is a concept-driven program that fosters the development of the whole child. Encompassing academic, social, emotional and physical well-being, the PYP curriculum is engaging, challenging, and rigorous - focusing on issues that cross subject areas.

MYP
Students in Grades 6 - 10 follow the IB Middle Years Program (MYP) curriculum.
The MYP aims to foster creative and reflective thinkers. The curriculum is based on three core principles: communication, holistic learning, and intercultural awareness. Unique aspects of the MYP include the Grade 10 Personal Project and giving back to the community through our Service as Action programs.

DP and CP
Students in Grades 11 and 12 follow either the IB Diploma Program (DP) or IB Careers-related (CP) curriculum, graduating with a prestigious IB diploma.
DP students take 6 courses from the choice of over 50, many of which are college-level. Uniquely, the IBDP requires students to complete CAS (Creativity, Action, Service) hours, write an Extended Essay, and study the Theory of Knowledge. The CP allows students to specialize in vocational subjects.

Beyond the IB
Atlanta International School students attend universities and colleges all over the world, across the United States, and here in Georgia.
The International Baccalaureate diplomas that AIS students attain are internationally recognized, as a rigorous indicator of academic ability and critical thinking. Our ever-growing global network of alumni is connected through a strong community and represented by our Alumni Board.

Our newest language offering. Chinese is available for all students, from 3K - Grade 12 to learn, with no previous experience of studying this fascinating language required.
The rich culture of the French speaking families and teachers in our community, from Europe and elsewhere, brings this language to life at AIS.
German was one of the three original language programs offered at AIS and our close connections to the German community here in Atlanta support this prestigious program.
Our largest language program, with hundreds of our students, from 3K to Grade 12, enjoying learning this beautiful global language spoken by millions.
Our Heritage Language Program currently supports Arabic, Dutch, Korean, Russian, Portuguese, Farsi and Turkish. Supported Self Taught Language allows Secondary School students to study other languages of their choosing. English as an Additional Language support is available throughout.
