The campus of the college is located in one single plot of about 55 acres nearly 5 kilometers away from Katihar Railway Junction on Katihar-Purnia road.
The Facilities
The facilities of teaching, hospitals, hostels laboratories and residential quarters for teachers and others are all located within the campus and total built-up area is nearly 900000 sq. feet.
Reservation
More than fifty percent of available seats for admission is reserved for candidates belonging to Muslim religious minority community.

The vast expanse of Medical Science and its complexity, necessitate that constant experiments and case studies be conducted within well-equipped laboratories. The College has a Central Research Laboratory with state-of-the-art equipment that conducts research. Trained laboratory staff provide proper assistance and guidance to the students in the conduct of research.
Auditorium / Seminar Hall
A well-equipped auditorium with seating for over 500 people serves as the venue for the regular conferences, workshops and seminars that are part of the learning process at Katihar Medical College. A Medical Education Department setup with the objective of enhancing quality of education, dedicates itself to implementing continuous improvement in standards.
Extra / Co-curricular
The college motivates the student community to participate in extra-curricular activities through frequent cultural, arts and literary events. The extra-curricular activities foster the all-round development of the students.

Recognizing the importance of sports and games for the development of both body and mind, Katihar Medical College has established comprehensive facilities for students.

The college has its own fleet of buses that ply to and from various vantage points in the city. The buses are available to facilitate easy travel for the students and staff residing outside the college campus.
For the convenience of students and faculties staying off-campus, Katihar Medical College has a fleet of 20 buses that ferry them to and fro. The buses traverse the city and suburbs and routes are planned with a vivid vision to provide maximum convenience even as they meet students' study schedules.

"Basically, the treatment direction depends on diagnostics, which is a key part of patient care. Katihar Medical College has invested in highly sophisticated diagnostic equipment that incorporates the latest in medical technology. Deeper knowledge on the diagnosis process is gained by the students from the procedures carried out in various labs as well as facilities like CT Scans, MRI, Gamma Camera, Doppler and other specialized equipment.

It is hereby clarified that:
Only NEET qualified candidates of the current year are eligible for admission in the current session.
There is no direct admission. All admissions are through counselling conducted by Govt. of Bihar i.e. Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, Patna.
There is no provision for admission on dropout/vacant seats of previous years.
There is no agency authorized by this college.
All admission starts and closes as per time schedule prescribed by Hon’ble Supreme Court/Medical Council of India/Competent Authority.
