At Choice, small class sizes ensure that children get ample individual attention.
Individual Education Plans
In October of 2016, the B.C. Ministry of Education recognized Choice School for the Gifted as a Special Education School, thus acknowledging the unique learning profile and specific learning needs that accompany giftedness.
Problem-Based Learning
Encouraged so that what children learn is directly applied to real life situations. For example, when learning about the challenges of travel in ancient China, students took the problems confronting the Chinese & examined whether these were still apparent today.
Managed Acceleration
Allows students who are advanced in a particular area to be placed in an advanced class. This enables students to be accommodated in a class which meets their academic developmental level, rather than being confined to their chronological age.

Our students are constantly amazing us with their creativity, intellect, and passion. Here are just a few examples of their recent accomplishments.

National Science Fair Winner
Liam, a Grade 8 student, won first place in the National Science Fair for his innovative project on renewable energy sources. His project impressed the judges with its originality and potential for real-world impact.

Published Young Author
Olivia, Grade 6, had her collection of short stories published by a local press. Her imaginative tales and mature writing style have garnered praise from literary critics and readers alike.

Community App Developer
A team of our Grade 9 students developed a mobile app to connect local volunteers with community service opportunities. The app has been adopted by the city and is making a tangible difference.
