Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC)
As a certified long-term acute care hospital, we provide comprehensive, long-term medical care for patients with complex or chronic conditions requiring extended hospital stays and close oversight. For many patients, the average stay in an LTAC is around one month or more, depending on their needs and progress.
At Spaulding Cambridge, we offer specialized on-site rehabilitation programs for patients recovering from:
Brain and spinal cord injuries, including disorders of consciousness
Cardiac (heart) conditions
Neurological conditions, including stroke
Cancer and its treatments
Orthopedics (bone and joint) surgeries or injuries
