to apply to participate in this collaborative work. The SPARK Team will help guide continuous improvement, explore future program opportunities, and ensure our signature programs remain strong, sustainable, and aligned with student and community needs.

Thank you to the families, staff, and community members who took the time to engage in recent conversations and shared feedback regarding the future of Pima Elementary School.
Last night, the Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board voted to repurpose Pima Elementary following careful consideration of enrollment trends, facility use, and long-term sustainability across the district.
We recognize this is an emotional time for students, parents, and staff. Pima has a proud legacy, and this moment represents a transition not just for a building, but for the families and educators who have made Pima such a special place.

In December 2017, Scottsdale Unified School District broke gound on the Pima Elementary School rebuild. The rebuild provided new and improved learning environments that elevate the educational experience for all scholars. The revitalized campus features state-of-the-art technology, modern facilities, and a beautiful landscape designed to inspire and enhance learning. The goal is to create a space where scholars thrive and reach their full potential. The new campus opened for the 2019-2020 school year.

Mr. Hodo has a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University in English Education, a Master of Science degree from Drake University in Effective Teaching and Learning with an emphasis in Urban Education, and a Specialist Degree from Drake University in Educational Leadership.
