Urgent Access is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Walk-in for easy and convenient medical care for non-life-threatening conditions.

Primary Care Team
Our primary care team of physicians, nurse practitioners, practice managers and staff are here to take care of your routine needs such as annual physicals, vaccines and the care of common or chronic health issues. They will also guide you to a specialist if needed, on- or off-island. Joining the team this Spring are Dr. Sarah Russell and Dr. David Lieberman, who are both accepting new patients. If you need a primary care provider, call 508-825-1000.
Cosmetic Dermatology
Dr. Arianne Shadi Kourosh, a world-renowned cosmetic dermatologist, is expanding her practice on Nantucket. Dr. Kourosh specializes in injectable wrinkle reducers, laser treatments and hair and skin restoration with platelet rich plasma, among an expansive list of other services.

Join us for the 29th annual Boston Pops on Nantucket on Saturday, August 8, 2026. This beloved island tradition will return to Jetties Beach for a night of unapparelled entertainment to benefit Nantucket Cottage Hospital. General Admission tickets are now on sale.

Expanded Orthopedic Care
NCH is proud to announce the addition of four highly accomplished physicians to its orthopedic program, expanding access to advanced surgical and sports medicine care right here on the island. John J. Tierney, DO, Thomas H. Wuerz, MD, MSc, MS, Martin M. Dolan, MD, and Alfred W. Hanmer, MD, FACS bring nationally recognized expertise that will allow patients to receive world-class care without needing to travel to the mainland.

Ali Fassnacht, PA-C, provides wound care at Nantucket Cottage Hospital - everything from wounds resulting from surgery, post-op complications, drain care, diabetic wounds, big dressing changes, foot wounds, and more. Ali joined the team in 2024 and works at NCH full-time, year-round. If you need an appointment for wound care, call 508-825-1000 or use the Patient Gateway.

David Lieberman, MD, joined the NCH team as one of the island's newest full-time, year-round physician, specializing in adult primary care. Dr. Lieberman completed his medical school prerequisites at Columbia University, before attending medical school at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
