English is the language of instruction throughout the school and all students learn an additional language. Learning benefits from small class sizes and the diverse language and educational backgrounds of the students. The academic curriculum is balanced with a pastoral program that focuses on well-being as well as personal and social emotional learning. Students also have many opportunities to join activities and athletics to challenge themselves and explore learning in new ways. Our Campus Tashkent International School campus is located 10 minutes from the city center of Tashkent and sits on 13 acres of wooded parks, with large mature trees, grassed areas and athletics fields. The campus facilities consist of a 3-story secondary building, a 3-story elementary building, an art and design building, a separate facility for preschool, 2 full size gymnasiums, 2-story art and design building, and a 2-story building for languages and counseling. The learning spaces on campus include a wide range of well equipped, purpose built classrooms, labs, theaters, makerspaces, arts rooms, and outdoor areas. Our school uses learning spaces and the local environment intentionally so that students can make connections between local context and global issues. Therefore, it is the policy of the Board that every student who attends TIS has the right to be safe and secure.
